  Terry there is no need to be afraid of me - I only bash Christians and lions. The only thing I would say, is that the thinking mind, that thinks through words, is only one part of the mind. The rest of the mind can be explored in the absence of word driven thought.

  I know this is all a bit deep for a gladiator but I have a day job too.

  Your comments on this thread are very interesting and you make some very good points. I always enjoy reading your unswervingly focused denunciation of all that is unproven.

  “EVASION is the willful suspension of one's consciousness.”

  People evade reality without suspending their conciousness. They watch soaps on TV and allow themselves to become emotional involved as if it were real. They do crosswords an immerse themselves in novels. Quieting the mind and exploring ourselves is time better spent than being entertained by fiction.

  People who attack meditation have usually suppressed their feelings and are afraid to still their minds and explore a deeper aspect of themselves.

  he was standing on the corner of 27th avenue and northern.. he was wearing a sandwich board that said "salvation for the jews".

  he had a name tag, which is how i know that i really found him.. i liked his beard, and the tape on his shoes.. i honked, so that he would know that i accept him.. he waved and smiled.

  now i know that he accepts me, too..

  How many here used to attend meetings un prepared?

  on sundays, i hardly ever read my watchtower.

  i would take 2 minutes to underline here and there just to look good.

  if i wanted to make a comment at the watchtower study , i'd read 1 or 2 paragraphs and answer the question related to those paragraphs, that's it.

  my firstborns son's mother i live with asked me today if i wanted anyone else.. i replied "yes, i want to know every unmarried woman on earth, so i can insure i will never feel like i missed out on something.

  I can't read the WT and AWAKE anymore

  hundreds of supplementary publications written by unnamed authors that can hide behind the watchtower and bible tract society and say anything without referencing it.

  lately, i have been thinking that this is one of the reasons that the society does not encourage higher education.

  try handing in an essay without your name on it, try not referencing your essay, try having no works cited, try to have only 1 works cited, try quoting out of context, try spewing statistics or numbers or trends in your essay with no reference or date, add ellipsis that only alert your instructor to the potential of hidden information, or try presenting as support for your thesis a third party quote.

  Most Jehovah’s Witnesses can’t read, they just look at the pictures. The pictures of fat lazy lions sitting around admiring sheep and being stroked by fake Christians while they wait to be fed, gets me angry.
